Source of life

Solar radiation allows the presence of life on Earth itself. It directly drives the natural processes that are essential for life, such as photosynthesis, wind, rain, ocean currents, and others.

Energy efficiency

Direct use of solar energy for photovoltaic power generation is the most efficient use of solar energy. Any other transformation of the sun's energy (water power, biomass and others) necessarily bears a certain loss. In fact, just a small area of the Sahara would generate enough energy for all mankind if this space was used as a photovoltaic installation.

Sustainability

The energy contained in fossil fuels is currently being consumed much faster than it was created. In one year humanity will consume a quantity of energy that was generated over a time period of about 1 million years. Clearly this shows that this resource will soon be exhausted. Add to this the harmful consequences of burning fossil fuels on the environment which according to most scientists is a significant contributor to climate change. There are also the negative effects of air and water pollution.
